What We Do

Justice for Families is a national network of family leaders, impacted by the justice system working to end mass criminalization, particularly that of youth and communities of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC).

Trainings

We provide leadership development and technical assistance to families and system stakeholders to reduce youth incarceration.

Advocacy

We work with our partners to redirect investments in young people, their families and communities to secure a fair and equitable system of justice.

Practice & Policies

We work in collaboration with agencies to develop a system of care for youth and families and to be transparent and held accountable for our practices.

People Who Care

We are the only national juvenile justice reform organization that is founded and run by families who have been directly impacted by the juvenile justice system.

“Families Unlocking Futures: Solutions to the Crisis in Juvenile Justice” offers the first-of-its kind analysis that details how the juvenile justice system does more to feed the nation’s vast prison system than to deter or redirect young people from system involvement; and demonstrates the incredible damage the system causes to families and communities.
